Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Owner of Acord, publishing as Maxapp handles information in Acord for Android and on this website. For privacy questions or requests, contact auto17191@gmail.com.

Microphone access

Acord asks for Android microphone permission to operate the tuner. Audio samples are processed in memory on the device while the tuner is active. We do not receive audio recordings or a history of the sounds you play. You can revoke permission in Android Settings → Apps → Acord → Permissions. The metronome and reference tones do not require microphone access.

Settings stored on your device

The app stores preferences such as your selected instrument and tuning, reference pitch, metronome settings, appearance, onboarding status and review-prompt history in local app storage. Acord does not require a user account or provide its own cloud account sync. Android backup may include app settings depending on your device and Google account settings.

Purchases through Google Play

Google Play processes payments and manages subscriptions. Acord receives purchase information such as product identifiers, purchase status and purchase tokens to recognise, acknowledge and restore Premium access. We do not receive your card number or full payment details. Google handles payment and account information under its own Privacy Policy.

Optional usage analytics

Acord includes support for Google Analytics for Firebase. Analytics runs only in app distributions configured to enable that service. When enabled, it can collect an app-instance identifier, device and app information, general usage and purchase events, and approximate location derived by Google from the connection. Events describe actions such as opening a screen, choosing an instrument or tuning, starting the metronome, the tempo and duration of a session, viewing Premium and completing a purchase. Purchase events may include product, amount and currency. These events help us understand feature usage and improve the app.

Analytics does not receive microphone audio. Advertising-ID collection and ad personalisation are disabled in Acord’s configuration. Acord does not display advertising. See Firebase privacy information and Google’s Privacy Policy for their processing and retention practices. Builds without Firebase configuration do not send these analytics events.

Support messages

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to answer your request, troubleshoot problems and maintain a record of the conversation. Please do not send passwords, full payment details or unrelated personal information.

This website

The website is hosted by Netlify. Requests may be processed with technical information such as IP address, requested URL, browser information and time of access for page delivery, security and service operation. The pages do not embed advertising, web analytics, third-party fonts or tracking cookies. Email and external links open services governed by their own policies. See Netlify’s Privacy Policy.

Purposes, sharing and legal bases

We use information to provide app features and purchases, answer support requests and maintain and improve the service. Where applicable, the legal bases are performance of a contract for requested services, legitimate interests in support, security and service improvement, and consent where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Information may be processed by the providers described above, our email provider, or disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights.

Retention, security and international processing

Local preferences remain until you clear app storage or remove the app; copies in Android backups are controlled by your backup settings. We retain support correspondence only as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable recordkeeping or legal obligations. Google and Netlify apply their own service-specific retention rules. Service providers may process information outside your country, subject to their applicable data-protection arrangements. We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and requests

You can revoke microphone access, clear Acord’s local storage and manage device backups in Android settings. Removing the app does not cancel a Google Play subscription or delete Google’s transaction records. There is no Acord account to delete.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, object to processing, restrict processing or withdraw consent. Email auto17191@gmail.com to make a request; we may need information to verify it. We cannot retrieve microphone audio because we do not collect it. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children

Acord is a general music utility and is not directed specifically to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

Changes and contact
